The Wannabes are an Alternative/Rock band from Denver, Colorado. The band formed in November 2016, and the band currently consists of Cameron McCurry (Vocals/Guitar), Joe DeSimone (Bass), and Andy Pieratt (Drums). The Wannabes released their first album titled “Goodbye” in July 2018 with 3 – Singles released before the album’s release (“Rings”, “Night Ride”, and “Running Out of Time”). The band’s first album was ranked #5 on Colorado Punk Rock Army’s Best of 2018 Albums and EP/LP Picks. They also released a stand-alone single called “Ashes” in November 2018. The Wannabes create and record all their music on their own, relying heavily on the “independent” DIY approach. The band is influenced by bands like Nirvana, Green Day, Black Sabbath, My Chemical Romance, and many more. The Wannabes combine their desire to create music that is meaningful and reflective for their listeners, and this is accomplished through their use of deep messages within their lyrics, and the accompaniment of catchy, rock-distorted instrumentals.
