The New Xbox One X is Finally Here!

Of all the exciting new products on display at this year’s E3 conference, nothing caught our attention more than the brand new Xbox One X. Promising to be the most powerful gaming console ever made, it boasts a GPU that is nearly five times more powerful than the current Xbox One S. It also has a faster CPU, a significantly stronger graphics card, and much more under the hood. What does this all add up to? True 4k gaming, better frame rates, and some of the most reliable online play ever.

Forza 7 promises a frame rate of 120fps and native 4k

If you can afford the $499 price tag when it launches this holiday season, it will definitely live up to the hype surrounding it for the last year, when “Project Scorpio” was still just a baby. If you can’t, no worries. Microsoft put special emphasis on ensuring current Xbox One players that their consoles aren’t going to become obsolete anytime soon. This isn’t an entire new console generation, just a serious tech upgrade. You won’t need a 4k TV either, as the Xbox One X will even show drastic graphic improvements on 1080p TVs as well. But it still will sure be tempting not to run out for a brand new TV to truly highlight this beast’s power.

The Project Scorpio team delivered big time with a console that is sure to impress. My only hope is that now this manpower can be put back into software design, for a still lacking (but also much improved UI) and for a new lineup of Xbox exclusive games. I definitely was not impressed by the games announced next to the Xbox One X, although Forza looks amazing. Still, I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these new consoles.
