Kanye West is getting in bed with some of Hollywood’s biggest names in the video for “Famous.”
The G.O.O.D. Music mogul premiered the long-awaited and scandalous visual for the first single off The Life of Pablo during two screenings at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Friday (Jun. 24).
“Famous,” which was filmed over three months, is definitely NSFW and features 12 nude celebrities, look-alikes, and/or elaborate wax figures of Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Bill Cosby, Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, Ray J, Donald Trump, Anna Wintour, and George Bush all laying next to one another in a bed as Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian lie in the center of it all.
Closeups of each body are meshed together as they are only partially covered by white sheets. Scenes from Kanye’s past, including his famous “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” moment, also flash throughout the clip. At one point, the music cuts off and only light breathing and soft snoring can be heard.
There is an acknowledgement of the celebrities that were pictured in the video with a “Special Thanks” near the end. Later, it reveals, the gratitude is simply “for being famous.” Then, the clip pans out to reveal all of the bodies on the bed in what many have compared to Vincent Desiderio’s “Sleep” painting.
The video doesn’t stop with “Famous.” It also includes “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.” As Kid Cudi sings about a “beautiful morning,” an image of a sunrise fills the screen.
