The song was written by Thornhill & Verlayne, inspired by unrequited love, and responding to that unrequited love with physical expression, organic movement, and liberation of self. The video was directed by Verlayne and features a stunning performance by dancer Claudia Zakrzewski (Alvin Ailey).
