His first musical memory is particularly vivid: “I can still remember the first CD I ever bought in my life, and man, was it worth it. I used to jam around the house pretending I was some kind of rockstar,” he reminisces. The defining moment in heiWr’s musical journey came during his mother’s wedding, where he performed a song that left a lasting impression on him. “If there was any doubt about it before, that’s where it all ended, or started, however you look at it. And I haven’t stopped nor thought about anything other than that as the number one thing I want to do for the rest of my life for even a second,” he reflects. This pivotal event propelled him to pursue music with unwavering determination.
Describing his sound is no easy feat for heiWr. “I could use a thousand words and still not say a thing, so I’ll just keep it simple. It’s different,” he says. But beyond its catchy beats and melodies, “Why” carries a deeper, more resonant message. “I could say it’s about a personal experience, cause it quite possibly may be, but no. I prefer to say it’s about moving on and away from things that can hurt you. Even if that can hurt. I’m sure a lot of people out there will be able to resonate with the message,” he explains. The song is a powerful declaration of moving forward, capturing the universal feeling of reaching a breaking point and deciding to leave behind what no longer serves you.
