Future drips all over 2016 in his latest “Purple Reign” visual.
Future has been unusually absent from many of the year-end lists floating around, though the truth is he put out a stronger body of work — with Purple Reign and EVOL — in the first five weeks of 2016 than most artists did all year. After dropping a new single, “Buy Love,” and accompanying video yesterday, Future is back today to remind his fans how good that Purple Reign tape was (for the record, it landed No. 4 on HNHH’s Hottest 20 Mixtapes). Here’s the new video to “Drippin’ (How U Luv That),” a real banger that should be a part of your New Year’s Eve turn-up.
One of the reasons Future was quieter in 2016 than in past years is that he was touring across the biggest venues in the country, and the “Drippin'” video shows some of his most invigorating onstage moments. There is also footage from a super exclusive Freebandz mansion party, as well as appearances from Drake, DJ Khaled, and Metro Boomin, who produced the song.
