FelDrö was born and raised(Thomas Felder) in St.Louis MO. Being the youngest in a family of 10 brothers and sisters, FelDrö was gifted in playing clarinet and violin. FelDrö’s musical career began at a tender age while attending school. Apart from being a musician, Thomas had a dream of becoming a scientist or working as an audio engineer in Atlanta, GA. However, poor financial status of his family halted his musical career and educational dream. In developing his musical career, FelDrö was influenced by top rap musicians such as Tupac, Kanye West, 2Chainz, Pharrell, UGK, and Three 6 Mafia, Lupe Fiasco, Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony and Project Pat.
Despite the ups and downs, when FelDrö met Scott Joplin Jr his passion for music was reignited. Born in the same city as FelDrö, Scott Joplin Jr became a partner and a producer creating their own organic sound. FelDrö’s first song “Tell’EM” brought him into the limelight of rap. Many people described the song as hard-hitting because it describes FelDrö’s lighthearted yet very rugged sound and feeling with a sense of inspiration. However, it is worth noting that the light-hearted, rugged sound and yet very inspirational rap was influenced by the kind and number of artists that FelDrö looked up to in the 90s and 2000s. The numerous artists above contributed greatly to his blend of taste and style.
