Here is what EDUARD had to say about his new song. “Teach Me How to Love was written shortly after a very important studio session I had two years ago. The session didn’t go the way I wanted it to go and I ended up being hurt, disappointed and hopeless. I didn’t want to do music anymore, I didn’t like my sound and I had lost all my confidence although I have been singing from the age of 5. Prior to that studio session I was very a confident singer and so sure of my sound and who I wanted to be as an artist but it all crumbled once I stepped out of the studio with a sound that didn’t reflect who I am.
So, I decided I wanted to write something to myself, I wanted to have a connection with the inner me so this is how I started writing the first line “I miss the times when you were by my side” because I was missing the old Eduard so much. It taught me a lot because I had never had that connection with me. Maybe, that was because of my growing up experience. I was always taught not to love myself by the society around me, so having a deep conversation with myself has been something I have always tended to avoid, so as a result I kept on lying to myself and not teaching myself how to love me., I decided to have this song as my debut single due to having one of the largest impacts on my life in comparison to my other songs.”
