New leaked images surfacing around the internet point towards Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered getting a standalone release. The images, which show a hardcover case for the PS4 edition, match rumors that have been floating around since February. Modern Warfare Remastered was originally launched with this year’s Call of Duty:Infinite Warfare special edition. Many saw the move as a way to attract sales to the dying series, but Infinity Ward tried to put these rumors to rest by bringing tons of new features and additions to the game.
It’s unclear when this game will be officially confirmed or what the price point will be (hopefully they are smarter than making it the full $59.99 for a new game). It’s also unclear whether or not this means that rumors of a Modern Warfare 2 remastered game is in the works still.
