Monsterz is Billy Wilkins second release via Wonda Music / EMPIRE. Billy wrote and co produced the song alongside his good friend, John Flynn as well as grammy award winning producer, Jerry Wonda (Hips Don’t Lie – Shakira, Justin Bieber – U Smile). The song is about dealing with mistakes we’ve made in the past and living with ourselves despite the things we’ve done. Billy wanted to bring elements of his upbringing as a guitarist into a fun modern pop song that he feels will be appealing to many different people. The music video was directed by Q The Rebel and showcases some shots of Wilkins actual live band. They spent the day in a prop warehouse in Long Island putting together colorful sets that they thought would bring the song to life. This song is a bit of a departure from the music Billy Wilkins has made in the past. His previous songs are more indie and rock based but Monsterz is one of my first attempts at entering the pop world. With this song Billy is looking to set the stage for the next several releases that he thinks people will really love. Check it out!
