“Seafood Gumbo” is a swing bop throwback to a bygone era of double entendres and classy jazz. Vocalist Angela Hope leads the small combo in this feel good track from Best of Tobin Mueller, Vol. 1: JAZZ Originals. Mueller leads on piano and is accompanied by the featured sax soloist Woody Mankowski, Blue Note drummer Dane Richeson keeping the rhythm, and bassist Jeff Cox keeping the fires burning down low.
